F.I.T. Women??? FIT means a FAST-PACED, INDEPENDENT, TRAVELING woman.
As a former dancer, I was always aware of Pilates, but it often seemed financially out of reach. By 2018, I had endured a myriad of health issues for nearly 20 years, forcing me to cease dancing and adopt an inactive lifestyle. I grappled with obesity and resigned myself to accepting this as my fate and destined body.
Seeking an exercise program that wouldn't exacerbate my fatigue or cause injury, I stumbled upon a recently opened Pilates studio by pure luck. After my first class, I was captivated! Pilates gave me everything I needed in one place: strengthening, lengthening, toning, flexibility, and cardio.
Fast forward a few years, and I have shed lost 45+ pounds and am experiencing true health for the first time!
I completed my comprehensive Pilates training through Club Pilates, and holds additional certifications through Pilates Suspension Method, TRX, and Barre Above. I was lucky enough to be trained and mentored by Leslee Bender, creator of the Bender Method of training, the Bender Ball and co-creator of Barre Above.
I am currently the Lead Instructor at Club Pilates South McKinney and have spent over 4 years in the CP family.
